So Pretty Boy continues to lurk around the house while singing his song. While we initially thought he was after some lovin' further observation of his behavior confuses the Boy and I. When faced with a female cat, he'll sit very, very nicely and proceed to make himself look pretty. When she leaves, he'll attempt pursuit, but he's show no interest in actually mating. He has also injured one of his front paws some point yesterday, so he's now limping around, obviously unable to walk on the injured paw. He isn't particularly scared of us, but he still won't let us close.

In other news, masked bandits stole the outside cats' cat cookies late last night.

It looks like the neighbor's cat is in heat again. Since Little Miss Ready-for-Kittens does not pop her head in the windows much, once again local unneutered boy-cat has come a-callin' to Susanna. This time around it is new-comer, Pretty Boy who, weeks ago, was attempted (and failed) to claim our yard has his territory. This didn't exactly make Susanna like him earlier. Now he's circling our house and singing to her. She is not happy. And we'd rather not have the early morning "music."

My ankle problem originates from 10 years ago, I learned, when I was late in meeting up with my French tutor freshman year of college.

I went running down the dorm stairs and got myself a sprained ankle for my troubles.

Today I learned that sometimes your sprain doesn't heal 100%. You can have a small tear in the tendon that causes little trouble until one day, it tears a bit more or gets inflammed for some reason. And then you've got my problem.

So, I have a few weeks of physical therapy to strengthen the weakened tendon. The doctor wasn't crazy to hear that the ankle occasionally buckles and wants an MRI done, but feels that it is probably just what I mentioned above.

The good news, at least, is that nothing is broken and I don't need anything crazy like crutches. Actually, with the weakened tendon she's rather me continue using it as normally as possible, because she wants it to get more strengthened.

I got a call from my mother this morning. She's apparently been trying to call me all week.

Mom: I've been calling you all week. Haven't you noticed?

Me: What? Neither of my phones have any calls listed from you all week.

Mom: I've been calling your cell phone. Have you checked your cell?

Me: Yes. Let me check again. *I check, there are no messages* Nothing.

Mom: Well, it says the number is no longer in service. When did you get a new cell phone number?

Me: What?!?! *thinks cell has worked fine all week...* Mom what's the number you are calling?

Mom: *recites number of cell phone I haven't had in years...note she calls my current cell all the time*

Me: You are calling the old number. And if the cell wasn't working, why didn't you call the house phone instead of keep calling the not working cell number?

Mom: Well, I thought you might be avoiding me.

Me: *headdesk*

My sweetie has returned from his mother's house (he cared for things while she had back surgery). It was amusing to watch him listen to Target Women while designing the perfect paintball gun online. Yup, that's my sweetie.

My ankle has been a bother the last several weeks. It feels weak and, if I step a certain way, sore. But I don't recall hurting it and it hasn't hurt much. After hiking with Ashley and Margaret, however, it swelled up. The swelling is mostly gone but now it is all bruised and hurts more than ever before.

I think it might be time to go to the doctors. :(

One of my colleagues thinks it is Lyme Disease, but she thinks everything is Lyme Disease. She has like, Lyme Disease specific hypochondria.

Happy Monday all! I'm testing the cross posting capabilities of Dreamwidth! So, ah...geez, this is embarrassing. I have no content, nothing to talk about. Um...so...how's the weather?
